New ‘Companion Notebook: Making the decision to serve’

I wanted to let you know about a new resource we’ve published for women who are thinking about running for office.  Earlier this year we launched our Gateway Guide to Public Life – which looked at how to run for office, how to campaign, how to fundraise.  Our brand new Companion Notebook: Making the decision to serve does something a little different.

We’ve been talking to our nominees for the She Should Run program and they’ve told us that not only do they want information about how to run a campaign, but they want more than that.  They want to know why its important that they should run for office, they want to know what sort of opportunities there are, they want to know what public service will involve and how that might impact on their family.  The Companion Notebook provides answers to all of these questions and explores how the skills you have from everyday life are just the sort of skills you need to run for office.

The Companion Notebook has been written, with the help of industry experts, exclusively for our She Should Run nominees.  If you know an amazing woman who should run for office, nominate her today, and we’ll make sure that she has all the information and support she needs to make the decision to run for office.
