Sophie Hahn, The Newest WCF Featured Nominee
Sophie Hahn is a Berkley, California native and a mother of three. Her story was most recently highlighted in the She Should Run Newsletter. Hahn recently ran and lost for Berkley City Council. Hahn, who is an attorney and a former small business leader expressed why women need to run for public office, “We need to be the decision makers,” Berkley has a strong democratic political community that is dominated by a small group of people. Hahn decided to run and give the voters a new voice to listen to. Like many of our nominees Hahn attended campaign training to prepare her for the race. Emerge California enabled Hahn to enter the race with tools and resources she needed as well as a strong network of women to support her throughout the campain. Hahn was recently appointed to the Berkley Commision on the Status of Women, and will continue to play an important leadership role in her local community.
