Women Nominating Women Update

The nomination feature on the WCF website is a wonderful assett that allows women to both nominate themselves, as well as nominate others who they believe can make a difference. The remarks that people state about their friends and family are truly inspiring. Recently, WCF received a nomination that showed us the particularly strong character of a woman that can serve as an example for anyone striving for exellence. Anne, nominated her friend Amy through the link on the website and let us know why her friend deserves a nomination. She explained, “For starters, she is already considering it for her future. And she should run because of her deep respect and affection for government and the positive role it plays. She’s an expert in how governments operate and deliver services because of her work, so right there she has a huge contribution to make. She also has particular interests in poverty, especially as it affects women, and I know she hopes to take that on in one capacity or another. This combination makes Amy, I think, an excellent candidate for WCF’s program,” Remarks like this motivate everyone at WCF and hopefully those that are thinking of running themselves.
