Judy Baker, Candidate for U.S. House of Representatives, MO-09
State Representative Judy Baker is currently serving her second-term in the Missouri House.  With nearly 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry, once in office she plans to use her knowledge and expertise in the field to make healthcare more affordable and accessible to all. 

Kay Barnes, Candidate for U.S. House of Representatives, MO-06
Kay Barnes is an experienced leader with a long history of community activism.  Most recently she served as the first female Mayor of Kansas City.

Sam Bennett, Candidate for U.S. House of Representatives, PA-01
Sam Bennett is a successful business owner, civic leader, and mother who will bring a fresh perspective to Washington.

Darcy Burner, Candidate for U.S. House of Representatives, WA-08
An independent and self-made woman, Darcy Burner left behind a successful career at Microsoft to focus her efforts on putting the country back on the right track.  When elected, she will fight to end the war in Iraq, expand access to quality, affordable healthcare, and defend reproductive freedom.

After a narrow loss for the seat in 2006, Jill Derby was elected Chair of the Nevada State Democratic Party.  She now returns to the campaign trail stronger than ever.

Kay Hagan, Candidate for U.S. Senate, NC
This nine-year state senator has launched a formidable campaign against anti-choice incumbent Elizabeth Dole.  Hagan is a former attorney and businesswoman, in addition to being a proud mother of three.

State Senator Debbie Halvorson, Candidate for U.S. House of Representatives, IL-11
As the current Senate Majority Leader in the Illinois Senate, State Senator Debbie Halvorson has worked tirelessly to improve the lives of women and families.  Her legislative accomplishments include:  requiring health insurers to cover contraception, establishing equal pay laws, and requiring schools to offer the HPV vaccination. 

Christine Jennings, Candidate for U.S. House of Representatives, FL-13
Working her way up from bank teller to bank president, Christine Jennings has never been one to back away from a challenge.  Now, after a highly disputed race in 2006, she returns to the campaign trail to finish what she started.

Commissioner Mary Jo Kilroy, Candidate for U.S. House of Representatives, OH-15
Mary Jo Kilroy, the current President of the Franklin Board of Commissioners, is an effective leader that will dedicate herself to fixing the broken healthcare system, ending the war in Iraq, and making America more energy efficient. 

Ann Kirkpatrick, Candidate for U.S. House of Representatives, AZ-01
After graduating from law school, Ann Kirkpatrick decided to embark upon a career of public service.  In 1982 she became the first female Deputy County Attorney for Coconino County and later served as a Sedona City Attorney before being elected to the Arizona House of Representatives in 2004. 

Suzanne Kosmas, Candidate for U.S. House of Representatives, FL-24
Suzanne Kosmas is a former State Representative and a successful small business owner, who will use her proven leadership and vast experience to bring change, responsibility, and accountability to Congress.

Marge Krupp, Candidate for U.S. House of Representatives, WI-01
A successful businesswoman with over twenty years of corporate experience, Marge Krupp recently left behind her corporate career to become a full-time candidate and one of the most viable challengers to anti-choice incumbent Paul Ryan in nearly a decade.

Betsy Markey, Candidate for U.S. House of Representatives, CO-04
Betsy Markey is a successful small business owner with both local and national political experience.  She promises to put the interests of the people above partisan politics and to bring back the principals of hard work, integrity, and discipline to Washington.  

Jane Mitakides, Candidate for U.S. House of Representatives, OH-03
Jane Mitakides is a native Daytonian and local small business owner who also has a long history of political activity, serving as a founding member of both the Women's Council of the Democratic Senatorial Committee and the Small Business Council of the Democratic National Committee.  

Jill Morgenthaler, Candidate for U.S. House of Representatives, IL-06
Jill Morgenthaler is a retired Army Reserve Colonel and served ten months in Iraq in 2004.  More recently, she served as Illinois' Homeland Security Advisor, the top homeland security official in the state. 

Chellie Pingree, Candidate for U.S. House of Representatives, ME-01
As the former Majority Leader of the Maine Senate and president of Common Cause, a national citizen's watchdog group, Chellie Pingree is a national leader on ethics and reform who will champion the issues of affordable healthcare, ending the war in Iraq, and investing in renewable energy once in office. 

Jeanne Shaheen, Candidate for U.S. Senate, NH
A former three-term governor and state senator, Jeanne Shaheen is a proven leader with a solid record as an advocate for education, healthcare, and reproductive rights.

State Assemblywoman Linda Stender, Candidate for U.S. House of Representatives, NJ-7
After coming within one percentage point of unseating the anti-choice incumbent in 2006, Assemblywoman Linda Stender makes her second run for this now open seat.  If elected, she will be the only female in New Jersey's congressional delegation. 

Annette Taddeo, Candidate for U.S. House of Representatives, FL-18
Annette Taddeo is the first formidable opponent this district's anti-choice incumbent has faced in 18 years.  A successful business owner and community leader, Taddeo has received numerous honors and awards for her service.  

Dina Titus, Candidate for U.S. House of Representatives, NV-03
State Senator Dina Titus has served on the Nevada Senate since 1988, serving as the Democratic Minority Leader for over 10 of those years.  An educator for over 30 years, Titus is a strong advocate for education at all levels. 

Dr. Victoria Wulsin, Candidate for U.S. House of Representatives, OH-2
Dr. Victoria Wulsin is a licensed physician who has dedicated her career to public health.  Once in office she will work to ensure quality healthcare for all Americans and to protect our national security by finding a responsible end to the war in Iraq.

Linda Bird, Candidate for Florida State Senate, District 25
Linda Bird is a community leader and small business owner dedicated to improving her community. Recently, she was named to the 2008 Broward County Women's Hall of Fame and was recognized as Woman of the Year by the Broward American Cancer Society.

Danielle Blue, Candidate for Ohio State Senate, District 16
Working as a trial attorney, Danielle Blue has spent her career advocating individual liberties.  As a state senator, Blue will work to make her community a better place to live, work, and raise a family.

Cheryl Bergian, Candidate for Public Service Commission, ND
After a narrow loss in 2006, Cheryl Bergian is making her second bid for the Commission.  A former attorney with Legal Services, Bergian now works as a consultant for non-profit resource development. 

Cheryl Cage, Candidate for Arizona State Senate, District 26
After working decades behind the scenes as a community activist and campaign manger, Cheryl Cage makes her first run for political office this November.  A successful businesswoman, she currently runs her own aviation and business consulting firm.

Rep. Sandy Cole, Candidate for Illinois General Assembly, District 62
During her first year in office, Representative Sandy Cole worked hard to preserve and strengthen the quality of life for families in her district.  Her family oriented initiatives included:  a child care tax credit, including ovarian cancer screening in preventative health services, and mandating health insurance coverage of breast ultrasound screening for at-risk women. 

Janet Cowell, Candidate for State Treasurer, NC
A second-term state senator and former securities analyst, State Senator Janet Cowell's mix of legislative and financial experience make her an ideal candidate for State Treasurer.

Harmeet K. Dhillon, Candidate for California Assembly, District 13
Harmeet Dhillon is an attorney and award-winning civil rights, human rights, and domestic violence activist. She favors increased access to affordable health care, expanding the supply of lower-income and middle-class housing, and tapping into renewable energy resources.
 

Darlene Dunn, Candidate for Ohio House of Representatives, District 46
A former Assistant County Prosecutor, Darlene Dunn has been practicing law for over 30 years and currently works as a solo practitioner in Toledo.  Once elected, her major initiatives will focus on economic development, increasing employment opportunities, and improving the educational system within her district. 

Vicki Lorenz Englund, Candidate for Missouri House of Representatives, District 85
Vicki Lorenz Englund is a great candidate with a strong economic background.  Her impressive professional resume includes positions at the Small Business Administration in Washington, D.C. and the St. Louis County Economic Council.   She currently works as a Senior Leasing Associate for Edward Jones.   

Mary Ann Giebink, Candidate for South Dakota House of Representatives, District 10
As a working mother, attorney, and small business owner, Mary Ann Giebink promises to bring a fresh perspective to the South Dakota House of Representatives. Once in office she will bring a voice to the families of South Dakota and work as an advocate for increased educational funding and health care accessibility.

Martha Good, Candidate for Clerk of Courts, Hamilton County, Ohio
An attorney with extensive experience in both state and federal courts, Martha Good is an ideal candidate for Clerk of Courts; she is familiar with court procedures and is well known by judges, attorneys, and court personnel.  In addition to practicing law, Good also works as an assistant professor of Political Science at Miami University. 

Marian Harris, Candidate for Ohio House of Representatives, District 19
Marian Harris is a long time political activist and campaigner who formerly served as the Chief of Family Support Services for the Ohio Department of Mental Retardation and Development Disabilities.  After a narrow loss to an entrenched incumbent in 2006, Harris makes her second bid for this now open seat.

Kay Hatcher, Candidate for Illinois House of Representatives, District 50
Kay Hatcher is currently a Kendall County Board member with a lifetime of civic involvement and community service experience.

Judy Hirsh, Candidate for Pennsylvania State Senate, District 15
An attorney, small-business owner, and former state budget analyst, Judy Hirsh is a highly experienced and well-rounded candidate.  Hirsh also serves on the board of the Harrisburg Humane Society and is the former president of a local private school. 

Molly Kelly, Candidate for New Hampshire Senate, District 10
Nearing completion of her first-term as State Senator, Molly Kelly is a proven advocate for reproductive rights, education, and the environment.  She now confronts a tough general election, facing the same opponent she unseated in 2006.

Jessica King, Candidate for Wisconsin State Senate, District 18
King currently works as an attorney while also serving on the Oshkosh City Council.  She is both the youngest member of the Council as well as the only female. 

Ayanna Lee, Candidate for Pennsylvania State House, District 44
Ayanna Lee is a commercial real estate attorney with a deep commitment to public and community service.  As an attorney, she provides pro bono legal services to elderly and indigent clients and serves as counsel in adoption matters.  In addition to her legal work, she also serves her community as a youth mentor and is presently a board member on the local Architectural Review Board. 

Jill Long Thompson, Candidate for Governor, IN
Before becoming the first female gubernatorial nominee in Indiana's history, Jill Long Thompson served three terms in the U.S. House of Representatives (IN-04) and over five years as the U.S. Under Secretary of Agriculture.   

Rosemary Mulligan, Candidate for Illinois House of Representatives, District 65
A 15 year incumbent in the Illinois House, State Representative Rosemary Mulligan has distinguished herself as a leader on state budget issues, women's issues, healthcare, and early childhood education. 

Linda Newell, Candidate for Colorado State Senate, District 26
As a small business consultant, Linda Newell takes a practical, hands-on approach to everything she does. Using her business expertise and common-sense approach, she will work to create good jobs and improve education within her district.

Lt. Governor Bev Perdue, Candidate for Governor, NC
A former school teacher and healthcare professional, Lt. Governor Bev Perdue is dedicated to making North Carolina the best educated and healthiest state in America.  If elected, she will be the first female governor of North Carolina. 

Debbie Phillips, Candidate for Ohio House of Representatives, District 92
Debbie Phillips is a Democratic City Council Member in Athens and Executive Director of the Ohio Fair Schools Campaign, an education advocacy program.  She first ran for this seat in 2006 against a popular incumbent, losing by only 865 votes.  Now she is running for an open seat in what has become one of the most highly contested races in the state.

Connie Pillich, Candidate for Ohio House of Representatives, District 28
A veteran, lawyer, and mother of two, Connie Pillich hopes to add a fourth title to her resume, State Representative.  Once in office she will work to ensure greater access to good jobs, affordable health care, and quality education in Ohio.     

Susan Pope, Candidate for Massachusetts House of Representatives, District 13 (Middlesex)
Susan Pope is a former State Representative who served her district for over 10 years.  As State Representative, Pope was an advocate for increased school funding, support for small businesses, lower taxes for seniors and working families, and a government that is accountable to the people. 

Cindy Purvis, Candidate for Pennsylvania State Senate, District 49
The former co-chair of Health Care for All PA, a Pennsylvania health care reform organization, Cindy Purvis is a vocal advocate of comprehensive health care for all.  In addition to her work in the health care industry, Purvis also served as the general manager of the Lake Erie Ballet and is a strong supporter of the arts.

Lisa Romaniello, Candidate for Pennsylvania House of Representatives, District 152
Lisa Romaniello currently serves as Commissioner in Upper Moreland Township and is the former president of her local Historical Commission. As a State Representative, she promises to be a vocal proponent of sustainable economic development, regionalism, and the environment.

Catherine "Kit" Roupe, Candidate for Colorado House of Representatives, District 17
Kit Roupe is a U.S. Army veteran with over 28 years of experience working with government and military entities, building coalitions, and organizing public forums. Her experience includes positions with the regional transportation authority, the Colorado Springs Police Department Community Advisory Committee, and as a Military Community Planner. 

Jill Schupp, Candidate for Missouri House of Representatives, District 82
Councilwoman Jill Schupp is currently a member of the Creve Coeur City Council and is the former president and member of the local Board of Education.

Senator Katherine Sgambati, Candidate for New Hampshire State Senate, District 4
Kathy Sgambati is an award winning state senator who knows how to get results. During her first-term in office she received numerous awards for her work on healthcare and the budget, including: "Nation's Outstanding State Senator" by the American Medical Association, "MVP" by the Concord Monitor, and "State Champion" by the National Afterschool Alliance.

Melissa Stanley, Candidate for Ohio House of Representatives, District 79
Only 19 years old, Stanley is a dynamic young candidate that already has a breadth of political experience.  A former U.S. Senate and House intern, Stanley also served as a Chamber of Commerce Campaign Specialist, and most recently worked for the out-going district Representative.  If elected, she will be the youngest female ever elected in Ohio politics. 

Speaker Gaye Symington, Candidate for Vermont Governor
Speaker Gaye Symington is a proven leader with a reputation as a thoughtful, inclusive, hard-working leader with a command of policy details. As Governor, she will work to build a stronger economy and a better future of all Vermonters.

Joanne Tosti-Vasey, Candidate for Pennsylvania House of Representatives, District 171
A long time community activist and public servant, Joanne Tosti-Vasey has been a member of the National Organization for Women (NOW) since 1979 and is currently serving as President of the Pennsylvania chapter of NOW.
