Linda Dano

Actress, President & CEO, Strictly Personal

Ms. Dano is a an award-winning daytime TV actress who has appeared on One Life to Live, As the World Turns, All My Children and Another World.  She won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in 1993 for her work on Another World. Ms. Dano works with organizations to tackle medical conditions such as depression (The Support Partners Program) and Alzheimer’s disease (National Alzheimer’s Association). Ms. Dano also is the president and CEO of Strictly Personal, a New York-based fashion consulting service, and has a personal fragrance and fashion accessories line sold on QVC.

Laura Day

Author, Welcome to Your Crisis

Laura is a bestselling author whose books include The Circle: How the Power of a Single Wish Can Change Your Life and the New York Times bestseller Practical Intuition. She has spent over two decades helping companies as well as individuals use the power of crisis to create their dreams.  Her global clientele include celebrities, scientists, business executives, and other professionals.  She speaks regularly both here and abroad, and has appeared in numerous publications and on shows including CNN, The View, and The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Larry Kirshbaum

Founder, LJK Literary Management

Mr. Kirshbaum, founder of LJK Literary Management, LLC, has been involved in publishing for nearly 40 years as an author, publisher and agent. He worked for Random House until 1974 and then Warner Books (later called Time-Warner) for over 30 years, spending his last 10 years as CEO and Chairman of the Time-Warner Book Group.  Mr. Kirshbaum has worked with hundreds of authors, including Jack Welch, Michael Eisner, Sandy Weill, Malcolm Gladwell, Anita Shreve, Alice Sebold, Nicholas Sparks, James Patterson, David Baldacci and Scott Turow. 

Linda Stasi

Critic, New York Post

Ms. Stasi, awarded Best Columnist of 2005 by the Newswomen’s Club of NY, and “Woman of the Year: 2006” by the Boys Town of Italy” is a columnist/critic for The New York Post, and has been on-camera co-host with Mark Simone of NY 1’s “What a Week!” for the past eight years. A writer, author and editor for over twenty-five years, she worked as a columnist for New York Newsday, and The Daily News, before joining The New York Post in 1999. She was also the recipient of the first ever News Women’s Club of New York Front Page Award for humor writing.

Senator Sheldon Whitehouse

Rhode Island

Senator Whitehouse was elected to the Senate in 2006.  He is a member of the Special Committee on Aging, the Budget Committee, the Environment and Public Works Committee, the Judiciary Committee, and the Select Committee on Intelligence. Senator Whitehouse served as a policy advisor and counsel in the Office of the Governor of Rhode Island before being nominated by President Bill Clinton to be Rhode Island’s U.S. Attorney in 1994. He was elected Attorney General in 1998, where he served from 1999-2003.

Christine Jennings

Candidate, U.S. House (FL-13)

Ms. Jennings is running in a competitive re-match race in Florida’s 13th Congressional District.  Ms. Jennings is “meeting the challenge” with her work on election reform; after losing by less than 400 votes in 2006 and battling widespread reports of malfunctioning election machines, Ms. Jennings has spent her time since the election leading a tireless election reform campaign.  Her dedication to the issue resulted in Florida’s recent paper trail requirement and ban on touch-screen voting machines. Jennings has lived in the District for 23 years and worked her way from a bank teller to president and founder of her own bank.
