Kathryn Grody

Actress & Writer

Ms. Grody wrote an autobiographical one-woman show, A Mom’s Life. The Obie-winning actress first performed her autobiographical play at the Public Theater in 1990. Ms. Grody is now involved in numerous writing projects.

Donna Orender

President, Women’s National Basketball Association

Ms. Orender is entering her third season as President of the Women’s National Basketball Association, having been named to the position in February 2005. She oversees all business and league operations for the WNBA. Prior to joining the WNBA, Ms. Orender spent over 17 years with the PGA Tour. Most recently, she served in the Office of the Commissioner as one of three senior executives responsible for the overall business of the Tour. Ms. Orender’s television production career began at ABC Sports and continued at SportsChannel.

Mandy Patinkin

Tony & Emmy Award Winning Actor

Mr. Patinkin is a Tony and Emmy Award winning actor. He has appeared in film, television and on Broadway. He won a Tony Award for his portrayal of Che Guevara in Evita in 1979. He received an Emmy Award for playing Dr. Jeffrey Geiger on Chicago Hope.

Alexander Sanger

Chair, International Planned Parenthood Council

Mr. Sanger is the author of Beyond Choice: Reproductive Freedom in the 21st Century published in January 2004. Mr. Sanger, the grandson of Margaret Sanger, who founded the birth control movement over 80 years ago, is currently Chair of the International Planned Parenthood Council and has served as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Population Fund. Mr. Sanger previously served as the President of Planned Parenthood of New York City and its international arm, The Margaret Sanger Center International for 10 years from 1991 - 2000.

Councilman Daniel R. Garodnick

NYC

Mr. Garodnick was elected to the New York City Council on November 8, 2005.  Prior to being elected, Mr. Garodnick represented the Partnership for New York City in the landmark Campaign for Fiscal Equity lawsuit. He also directed the New York Civil Rights Coalition’s “Unlearning Stereotypes: Civil Rights and Race Relations Program” in 42 New York City public schools, teaching students non-violent ways to combat racial discrimination, and how to use the processes of government to affect social change.

Suzanne Kosmas

Candidate, U.S. House (FL-24)

Ms. Kosmas is running in Florida’s 24th Congressional district.  She is “meeting the challenge” on the issue of healthcare. She has pledged to help make healthcare more accessible and prescription drugs affordable for everyone. In her four terms in the Florida House of Representatives, she worked to improve healthcare for seniors.
